How To Apply

Caritas Communities offers Single Room Occupancy housing (one person per room) for individual adults. Applying is easy!

  • The first step is to submit a preliminary application. You can complete an application online at www.tinyurl.com\Caritasapply. You may also download and print an application, fill it out completely and accurately, and fax or mail it back to Caritas.
  • When a unit becomes available, we will contact you to schedule a time for you to look at the available room.
  • If you want to lease the room, we will then schedule a time within a few days for you to come into our office in Braintree for an intake meeting, where we will verify the information on your application and perform a background check.
  • Once all paperwork is complete and processed and move-in costs are paid, you can sign a lease and move into your new home.

While You Wait

There may be a waiting period before a unit becomes available. There are things you can do while you wait that will make the process go quickly once we call with a unit that’s ready for you.

  • Keep a file with any and all current financial information such as pay stubs, bank statements, benefit letters (social security, pension, disability)
  • Save up for move-in costs. You will need first month’s rent and a security deposit at lease signing in order to move in.
  • Please let us know if your contact information changes or the best way to reach you so you don’t miss an opportunity for housing with Caritas.
