Our Properties

Caritas’ model works because our properties are:

Secure. Caritas is committed to the long-term ownership of its properties. A professional property management staff oversees the portfolio. Each property has a live-in site manager who is responsible for daily operations and who knows each resident and keeps the common areas clean and the building in good condition.

Comfortable. Rent includes heat, hot water and electricity.  Private, locked, rooms are furnished with beds, bureaus, tables, chairs and lamps. Arrangements can be made for residents to use their own furniture. Rooms are wired for cable, telephone and Internet. All houses have safe, shared kitchens and baths and many have common living rooms.

Affordable. With the help of charitable contributions, Caritas makes every effort to be affordable for individuals working fulltime on minimum wage. For those below that income level, there is a waiting list for a limited number of units with a public subsidy.

Convenient. All of our houses are within a 10-minute walk to public transportation; many are even closer.

Dependable. We have never sold a property.
