Michael brings to Caritas 35 years of experience in strategic management consulting, specializing in financial systems implementation and reporting, technology, and operational metrics. He has worked in high-growth technology, internet start-ups, professional services, at a university, in the non-profit sector, and, in the hardest job he was never paid to do, as a member of the school committee in a metrowest suburb of Boston. While he has enjoyed all the variety and challenges throughout his career, he finds non-profit work very rewarding.

Michael was raised in a middle-class family, and even when they struggled financially, his family always had a secure and comfortable home. He has grown to appreciate that he has family supports to fall back on when he hits personal challenges.

When not at work, Michael spends time with family and friends, especially his daughter, Hannah, and his dog, Brady. He also enjoys cooking, wine, hiking, and online bridge—a pandemic hobby. He hopes to eventually do more traveling, but not yet, because he said, “I have too much work to do at Caritas.”
