Greg Rittchen
Director of Real Estate Assets
Greg joined Caritas in June 2021 with ten years of experience working in multifamily real estate. Throughout his career, Greg has worked in commercial brokerage in New York City, lending at Arbor Realty Trust, Low Income Housing Tax Credits at Wells Fargo, and affordable housing consulting at TCAM.
When Greg isn’t busy creating affordable housing, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Maria. Together, Greg and Maria like to cook, travel, and visit with family and friends. Greg is also an avid reader and enjoys everything from literary fiction to archaeoastronomy, although he is usually interrupted by their rather chatty cat, Uma Purrman.
Living in an expensive cramped “bedroom” in Brooklyn, NY after college opened Greg’s eyes to the reality of the housing affordability crisis in this country’s metropolitan areas. Surrounded by public housing projects and homelessness, Greg realized that the least fortunate desperately need our help. Greg decided to join Caritas because he wanted to fully align his work life with his values. At Caritas, Greg can directly contribute to the organization’s mission to end homelessness by developing more affordable housing in eastern Massachusetts. Greg is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause.
