Belinda Lill
Director of Program Relations and Headquarter Operations
Belinda joined Caritas on Valentine’s Day 2022—something she still finds quite fitting to this day. Caritas does mean love of humankind or charity, after all. She initially fell in love with affordable housing work in a community development legal clinic in Washington, D.C. in 1999 and ever since has been committed to it as a mission and as a vocation.
First born in the United States to a multicultural and multilingual family, she understands the importance of having a safe and secure home where planting seeds of opportunity and self-betterment is a possibility. Her background also instilled a great empathy for each person’s circumstances of existence and a deep belief that every human should be treated with dignity.
Belinda enjoys reading, sewing, watching movies, visiting breweries and breaking bread with her large group of loved ones. As active members of the Massachusetts Audubon Society and the MA Trustees of the Reservations, she and her husband Adam also love hiking whenever they’re not corralling their three cats.
Belinda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hispanic Language and Literatures, and International Relations from Boston University and Juris Doctor from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law. She also holds a MA Real Estate license as well as multiple compliance certifications that she has received throughout her 25-plus year career managing a variety of housing programs, projects, funding sources and grants.
Since first entering the front door, Belinda has felt at home and one with Caritas’ mission to end homelessness, and her dedication and love for this goal is reaffirmed and strengthened every time keys are placed in a new resident’s hand, and they are welcomed home.
