What do Caritas Communities residents have in common?

Most are hard-working men and women who, after a day of work, want to come home to a secure, comfortable and affordable home.

Caritas provides just this kind of housing to over 600 individuals. We own every one of our houses and maintain and manage them with pride.

Secure - Each house has its own live-in manager who knows each resident and keeps the common areas clean and the building in good condition.

Comfortable - Rent includes heat, hot water, electricity. Rooms are furnished with beds, bureaus, tables, chairs and lamps. Most have small refrigerators. Arrangements can be made for residents to use their own furniture. Rooms can be wired for cable, telephone and internet. All houses have shared kitchens and baths and many have common living rooms.

Affordable - Rents range from $90 to $135 a week. Free utilities and free washers and dryers (in most houses) save money every week. In some instances there is subsidy available. The use of a shared kitchen helps save money by preparing meals at home.

Convenient - All of our rooming houses are within a 10 minute walk to public transportation, many are even closer. Almost all of the houses have free washers and dryers on-site for residents' exclusive use.
