No. Caritas Communities is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that provides affordable housing to low income individuals and it has no affiliation with the health care organization.

Q: Does Caritas provide housing for both men and women?
A:
Absolutely! Caritas has a long history of providing housing to both men and women.

Q: Is Caritas still pursuing additional properties?
A:
Yes! Caritas is consistently pursuing new opportunities throughout the Greater Boston area.

Q: Does Caritas Communities offer housing to families or households consisting of more than one person?
A:
No. Our houses are licensed lodging houses for single room occupancy (SRO).

Q: How do I make a donation to Caritas Communities?
A:
We welcome your tax deductible donation to our cause - Please use our on-line secure Donor form or contact us for additional information on how you can help.

Q: Where are your properties located?
A:
Our properties are located in Boston (Allston, Dorchester, Fenway, Roxbury, South End), Arlington, Braintree, Brookline, Everett, Medford, Quincy, Salem and Wakefield.

Q: How is tenancy determined?
A:
Interested applicants should submit a completed application in full. Our managers thoroughly screen all applicants to determine suitability for residency, including screening for previous landlord references, credit references, income and asset verification.

Q: What is included in the rent?
A:
All utilities are included except telephone and cable. All rooms are cable ready. Most houses have free washers and dryers for residents' use.

Q: How can I submit an application?
A:

Q: Do I need furniture?
A:
No, we provide a bed, bureau, bedside table and a small refrigerator.

Q: Do you have on-site storage?
A:
No, there is no additional storage on site.
